PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT

Increasing Terms of Mayor and City Commissioners to Four Years

Should the City Charter be amended to increase the terms of office of the Mayor and City Commissioners from three years to four years, commencing with the 2010 election for Seats 5 and 6, the 2012 election for the Mayor and Seats 3 and 4, and the 2014 election for Seats 1 and 2, thereby eliminating elections in years when there is no countywide election?
